Work on buildings you will want to visit in twenty years
We are a small studio with live projects across Karnataka and a habit of giving people real responsibility early. If you draw carefully, think about how things are built and like being on site, we would like to hear from you.
Currently hiring
Project Architect
You will run two or three projects from design development through handover: coordinating consultants, producing and checking working drawings, visiting sites every week and being the person the client calls. You have built at least two buildings you are proud of, draw well, and know your way around a BBMP submission.
What we look for
- B.Arch and Council of Architecture registration
- Three to six years in a design-led practice
- Working-drawing and detailing ability in AutoCAD or Revit
- Site experience with RCC and masonry construction
- Clear written English; Kannada or Hindi for site
- A portfolio with built work
Interior Designer
Homes, workplaces and cafés. You will develop layouts, design joinery, specify materials and lights, and see the work through on site with carpenters and contractors.
What we look for
- Degree in interior design or architecture
- Two to four years in practice
- Strong joinery detailing
- Working knowledge of Bengaluru's material and vendor market
- SketchUp and a rendering tool; hand sketching welcome
- An eye, and the patience to use it on site
Architecture Intern
For fourth and fifth-year B.Arch students on a six-month placement. You will be on a live project within a week, not making presentation boards. The internship is recognised for Council of Architecture requirements and carries a stipend.
What we look for
- Enrolled in a recognised B.Arch programme
- Comfortable in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Curiosity about how things are built
- Available for the full six months
Send a short note, a CV and a portfolio under 15 MB to careers@thirtyninetyfourstudios.com. We reply to everyone within two weeks. If none of these fit but you think you belong here, write anyway.
What it is like
Five-day week
Site days count as workdays, not Saturdays. We leave on time more often than not.
Looked after
Health insurance for you and your dependents. Council of Architecture registration and one conference a year paid for.
Keep learning
A library budget, a studio trip every year to go and look at buildings, and time to enter competitions.
Straight dealing
Salaries benchmarked each year and stated in the offer, not negotiated down.
